DESCRIPTION:Overview: \n\n\nMeet at 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM start.\nFree parking on site.\nLunch & refreshments provided.\nDepart to our Apiary in Turners Hill around 2:00 PM.\nDay to finish around 4:00 PM.\n\n\nWhat we will cover: \n\n\nHoneybee biology and ecology.\nThe equipment you will need to keep bees.\nThe gadgets you can buy.\nThe pests and diseases to watch out for.\nThe flowers you can plant to help bees and other pollinators.\nWhere to get your own bees.\nChoosing a hive.\nManagement through the year.\nHands-on experience with a colony of bees\, at our apiary (weather permitting).\n\n\nBooking & preparation: \n\n\nCost (inclusive of booking fees) is £70\, or £90 including membership.
